If you're reading this, you're probably looking for the perfect insert for your car seat (or stroller). In our language, the name "anti-sweat insert for the seat" has been adopted. What does this term actually mean? Does such an insert really exist?
Let's start with the fact that sweating is nothing more than a natural reaction of the body, among others. to high ambient temperature. By sweating, we lower body temperature. Without it, our organs would be exposed to damage, so we should never try to block this important activity :-)
No fabric, material or material known to us has features that block sweating. There are special compounds for this (e.g. aluminum oxide), the so-called blockers that are used in people with excessive sweating - they penetrate the sweat glands and simply clog them.
So why do many manufacturers of seat inserts call them anti-sweat? We don't know, but we assume that they mean to improve the baby's comfort when traveling in a car seat or stroller. Every child placed in a car seat during hot weather, where his or her body touches the artificial upholstery, will sweat. That's why we all recommend special seat inserts. The seat insert should be made of natural materials, such as linen or merino wool (so-called merino wool), which have thermoregulatory properties and are very absorbent. In other words - they absorb moisture while giving the skin a feeling of dryness. Important - all materials used to produce inserts for children must have certificates. Merino wool should be RWF certified and cotton/linen should be at least Oeko Tex standard 100 or GOTS certified.
So, if there is no anti-sweat insole, is it worth investing in such products at all?
Of course, if the insert is made of quality materials that have a real impact on absorbency and make your child feel more comfortable while traveling, it is definitely worth purchasing such a product.
