Which stroller sleeping bag should you choose? A sleeping bag for a stroller, or a sleeping bag for a carrycot. Which product is right for your little one?
1. Sleeping bag type: gondola sleeping bag
Many parents wonder how to choose the right sleeping bag for their stroller. A sleeping bag should be appropriate for the baby's age, the type of stroller you have, and, of course, the season. The sleeping bags available in our offer will allow for a proper fit. The Robin Chudek Autumn/Winter Sleeping Bag for the Carry Cot and Car Seat (Waterproof) is a warm first sleeping bag, 80 cm long, with a comfortable hood that opens with snaps. We don't recommend a fur trim for this type of sleeping bag, as it would be too close to your baby's face when lying down. If you still want a winter-ready look for your stroller, you can order a hood collar . It attaches with elastic ties and fits any hood. Simply specify the length. The Robin Chudek sleeping bag can also be successfully installed in a 0-13 kg car seat, as it has a thinner back panel and special vertical harness slots (suitable even for seats with 5-point harnesses). We recommend using our muffs and gloves with the sleeping bag.
2. Sleeping bag type: stroller sleeping bag
The next sleeping bag that will appear on your little one's list of needs is a stroller sleeping bag. Let's start by saying that some parents who own a large 3-in-1 stroller immediately opt for a size M sleeping bag. This sleeping bag will be sufficient until the child is two years old and will be used in both the large carrycot and the stroller. For children over 1.5 years old, it's worth buying the largest size, 110 cm. This will last until the end of the stroller life, and then perhaps wait for a sibling? This autumn/winter stroller footmuff is warm (but not too warm – the key is to avoid overheating our children). It has a cotton velour lining (not polyester), convenient two-way zippers (so you can open it from the bottom and remove, for example, dirty shoes), a removable, high-quality faux fur trim, a drawstring hood, and, importantly, special vertical strap slots – this makes it easy to install in any stroller, even those with sewn-in straps. An example of an easy-to-install footmuff is the Cybex Priam or Cybex Balios S stroller.
3. Sleeping bag material.
Our sleeping bags, muffs, and gloves are made from waterproof fabrics certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100. This means they are dyed with natural dyes and are safe for your little ones. If you're dreaming of a sleeping bag with our patterns, it's worth checking out our softshell sleeping bags—they're also waterproof and have the same properties as traditional sleeping bags.
4. Holes for belts
Since 2018, our sleeping bags have featured an innovative vertical harness slot system. This means our sleeping bags fit any stroller model, and our infant sleeping bags fit any car seat, even those with a 5-point integrated harness. If you have a stroller model with a folding slot in the seat, please leave us a short comment in the comments section and we'll create one for you free of charge.
