The manufacturer is not responsible for improper operation of the washing machine or incorrectly operating washing cycle (Article 548 of the Civil Code). Pilling of merino wool is a natural phenomenon and results from shorter fibers coming to the surface - it is not a product defect in itself. In the case of steamed wool, pilling is very limited, but it may occur where, for example, shoes rub against wool.
