Does an anti-sweat car seat liner really exist?

Dear Parent,
if you are reading this, you are likely looking for the perfect car seat liner (or stroller liner). In our language, the term "anti-sweat car seat liner" has become common. What does this term actually mean? Does such a liner really exist?
Let's start with the fact that sweating is nothing other than a natural bodily reaction to, among other things, high ambient temperatures. By sweating, we lower our body temperature. Without this, our organs would be at risk of damage, so we should never aim to block this essentially important process :-)
No fabric, material, or substance known to us possesses properties that block sweating. That is the role of special compounds (e.g., aluminium oxide), known as blockers, which are used for people with excessive sweating-they penetrate the sweat glands and simply clog them.
Why, then, do many manufacturers of car seat liners call them anti-sweat? We do not know, but we assume they mean improving your little one's comfort during travel in a car seat or stroller. Every little one placed in a car seat during a heatwave, where their body touches the synthetic upholstery, will sweat. That is why we all recommend special car seat liners. A car seat liner should be sewn from natural materials, such as linen or merino wool (so-called Merino wool), which have thermoregulatory properties and are also characterised by very high absorbency. In other words-they absorb moisture while simultaneously providing a feeling of dry skin. Importantly, all materials used to produce liners for children must have certifications. Merino wool should have the RWF certification, and cotton/linen should meet at least the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 or GOTS standard.
So, if an anti-sweat liner does not exist, is it even worth investing in such products?
Of course; if a liner is sewn from high-quality materials that realy affect absorbency and make your child feel more comfortable during travel, it is definitely worth purchasing such a product. Below is a list of liners that we recommend with all our 🤍-from us and thousands of satisfied customers:
Car seat liner 0-13 kg and 9-18 kg made of merino wool.
Stroller liner made of merino wool.
