Your little one's essentials. What should be included in a baby layette?

Whether you already have children or your family is about to grow, every expectant mother will face the task of preparing a baby layette. Even experienced mums, when compiling items for their child, look for information on what is essential. And if you are looking for such information, you have come to the right place! Every Mum would like to prepare for the birth of her child so that nothing takes her by surprise. What is essential, and what will make those first moments together easier? As mums who have faced these very questions ourselves, we have gathered our shared experiences to help other mums prepare their layette! What is most important? Small children grow quickly, so when preparing clothes, let's take the season into account and choose several pieces of rompers, cardigans, or bodysuits in each size. Contrary to what one might think, we will need quite a lot of things for your little one, so to make this task easier, we have prepared a list of must-have products! But before we get to the list, we will discuss its most important elements.

The most important thing regarding clothes for your little one is that they should be cotton. Your little one's delicate skin and head need soft fabrics and cotton hats from the very first moments.

Before you arrive at the maternity ward, you must think about the journey home from the hospital. For both small and large first trips, a stroller will come in handy, but remember that you won't be able to leave the hospital with your little one without a car seat. In addition to clothes for your little one, you need a car seat, and crucially, a car seat blanket for it. Your little treasure should not travel in an overall or a jacket; instead, a swaddle will ensure a safe and comfortable journey for your little one. Pay attention to the craftsmanship of the swaddle; those made with cotton velour will work much better than polyester ones. Additionally, the swaddle will make leaving the house with your little one much more pleasant, as you won't have to worry about the baby overheating. Simply place your little one in the car seat, fasten the belts, then swaddle them, and you're ready. You can go! The same swaddle is perfect for a carrycot, so it should definitely be part of your layette. If your due date falls in summer, it is worth getting a car seat liner, which will ensure your little one sweats less. And what should you remember at home? Of course, your little one needs a cot, a cotton fitted sheet, and a baby muslin cloth, but definitely skip cot bumpers, which may look beautiful but are dangerous, especially for a newborn! There should be more or less only the essentials in the cot. Opt for the aforementioned muslin cloth, a blanket, or sleeping bags. When the initial emotions subside and it is time for the first bath, your little one will, of course, need a baby bath as well as gentle nappies and towels. Newborns have sensitive skin, so let's choose muslin towels, which are gentle on your little one's skin. While we are on the subject of bathing, appropriate cosmetics and nappies in the right size will also be useful for a newborn. We can, of course, buy many gadgets for our little one, but the products mentioned above are true must-haves! When the child is older, it will certainly be easier to assess the need for accessories that make motherhood simply carefree! And if the thought of teething is keeping you awake, prepare teethers now and browse the Beztroska offer, where you will find products for newborns, older little ones, even preschoolers, and of course, for wonderful mums!
